Oreo Cake

Chocolate Cake Ingredients:

125g plain flour (1 cup all-purpose flour)

200g caster sugar (1 cup granulated or superfine sugar)

65g cocoa powder (3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder)

3/4 tsp baking powder (3/4 tsp)

1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda (1/2 tsp baking soda)

1/2 tsp salt (1/2 tsp)

1 large egg, room temp

60ml vegetable oil (1/4 cup)

125ml milk, room temp (I used semi skimmed) (1/2 cup)

1 tsp vanilla extract

125ml warm water (1/2 cup)

BAKE: 340 degrees for 30 min


Oreo Buttercream Frosting:

150g unsalted butter, softened (2/3 cup / 1 stick + 2 tbsp)

200g icing sugar (1 3/4 cups powdered sugar)

1–2 tbsp milk (any)

3 Oreo’s, finely crushed

9 whole Oreo’s (optional)


Tin size: 8x8 inches
